The combined feline neurology/ophthalmology course is taught by international experts in the field. The Neurology course will start with an introduction into the principles of the neurological examination and localization (with video presentation and practicals). The Neurology section of the course teaches the problem-oriented approach to feline neurology. It is based on clinical case presentations with video examples. Participants will become familiar with the principles of neurolocalisation and the spectrum of feline neurological diseases in the following two days. The Ophthalmology section of the course is largely case-based and will commence with an introductory lecture of a step-by-step ophthalmic examination (with video presentation and practicals). The clinical part of the course will cover the most relevant and most common ocular diseases in cats (including FHV-1 induced problems). An interactive session and quiz at the end of the course will involve both the Neurology and Ophthalmology parts. Following the course participants should be able to deal with frequent neurological and ophthalmological problems in cats and establish a diagnostic and therapeutic plan for their patients.
